Diaconate
 

The Diaconate committee of this congregation meets monthly to pray about and care for the spiritual health of this congregation.  While bringing our vision and mission to action, we seek to identify the needs of our church family, our neighbors and the extended community of God’s people around the world.

            This is done by:

·         Assisting the pastors in developing and maintaining a continuing emphasis on evangelism

·         Assisting the pastors in the administration of the sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism

·         Receiving donations and administering benevolent funds to help those in need within the congregation and in the community

·         Assisting the pastors in visiting the sick and shut-ins

·         Interviewing applicants for church membership and making recommendations to the congregation

·         Reviewing membership status and making recommendations for changes in status of members if needed
