SPARKS
(Fall - Spring)
Our children's program, "SPARKS", is a group
that is open to younger boys and girls. This program continues
to grow through planned activities. Through this program,
children are able to learn through games, songs, Bible stories and
worship.
Our next special
event (annual Valentine Party) will be held on Monday, February 13th
from 7:00 - 8:30 pm.
All children (kindergarten thru 5th
grade) are invited. We will play games, celebrate the birth of
Jesus, sing songs, and more! Please call the church office to
register your child(ren).
FIVE-DAY Club
(Annually in July)
 Our
church has partnered with Child Evangelism Fellowship to bring to
our community a "Five-Day Club". This is an exciting,
fun-filled time held each morning beginning at 10:00 o'clock for
five consecutive days.
It includes: dynamic
Bible lessons, creative learning activities, inspiring missionary
story, meaningful songs and life-changing scripture memorization.
This Club is open to all
children (ages 5 - 12) regardless of religious background.
Parents are invited to attend with their children. There is no
cost.
Members of our church with
specialized training teach the Club. Registration and further
information can be acquired by calling the church office.
Epic Sr. High Youth
**EPIC WILL MEET WEDNESDAY NIGHTS AT
7:00 PM
(Fall thru Spring) **
EPIC is the high school ministry at the Church of the Good Shepherd.
During the school year we meet each week on Wednesday evenings from
7:00 - 8:30 p.m. We spend time praising God through
contemporary music and,
in a practical and creative way, discussing issues
that face youth. The students have a great time playing
ping-pong, foosball, sports and, of
course, eating.
In addition, the EPIC group plans a variety of extra activities that
are fun and challenging.

Winter Schedule ~ 2012
Epic
EPIC ordinarily meets from 7:00 - 8:30 pm on Wednesday evenings
(fall through
spring).
STATIC (Jr. High Youth)
Static is the Junior High Ministry at Church of the Good Shepherd.
We play high impact (impact sounds so dangerous, so we'll say HIGH
ENERGY) games for over an hour to help students release a week's
worth of school-time frustration. After we've burned up all of their
energy (yeah, right!) we re-fuel them with loads of nutritious
snacks.
Then we gather them together where they sit in complete
silence, keeping their hands to themselves, their minds focused on
the topic being discussed, and raising their hands when they have a
question......oh, I'm sorry, I was day dreaming for a moment!
We actually gather them together to teach them about God, the Bible
and life itself in a practical way that makes sense to a typical Jr.
High student.
The best way to describe a Static Friday Night is FUN!!!
Actually, one notch below a riot type of fun!
Note:
Generally, STATIC meets the first three Fridays of the month, unless
otherwise noted, from 6:30 - 9:00 pm (fall through spring).
